My name is Mike Pospis. I’m a New York City lawyer. My law firm,¬†Pospis Law, PLLC, represents victims of sexual harassment and other forms of employment discrimination.

This blog is intended to provide information and commentary regarding developments – both statutory and in the case law – in the area of sexual harassment law.

Generally, sexual harassment comes in two forms: (1) “quid pro quo” and (2) hostile work environment. Both derive from the statutory prohibition (codified in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the New York State and City Human Rights Laws) against “discrimination” based on sex/gender. While these labels and accompanying definitions are relatively easy to state, their application to specific facts is often less straightforward.
